A Restaurant Gambler I Am Not

First time in a restaurant
A dish that I'm lucky enough to choose and like,
I'll order again and again,
When I go back.
But having such a timid palate,
(As well as not knowing a carrot from a shallot),
There's no chance I'll be getting a Michelin star...
Unless consistency wins you one.
But I know what I like.
So I'd rather be butter-knife dull
And order up a meal I know
And not one I don't...
A sure thing, instead of a new thing...
It's just too much of a gamble.
