Bringing on the eternal joust
Between clerical faith
And earthly desire.
Would it be a slip of piety
Or an incidental irony…
The Rabbi’s dilemma…
Compounded by being Toronto-born.
So, worse, he’d be a Canadian on Bacon
With no way biblical legerdemain
Could comfort him living on Bacon Lane.
